About Ruth

Born in England, Ruth lived in 5 countries before coming to America at 16.

Ruth paints nature in detail, in bright and vivid colors. Since very young she drew incessantly and observed the peace and beauty of nature - a deep solace in her very turmoiled world. She won a few art contests when young - and was even a UK TV contest runner-up at age 12. Since then, she has keenly observed TV painting shows, learned much from books, and through various art association workshops. Ruth's love for watercolor and typography (lettering) compel her to combine both in some of her works. She wants the viewer to be impacted both visually and mentally, so they are pleasant to the eye and the reasoning brain. NOT just another pretty picture.
